How can I get an estimate?
After an initial conversation, we can determine if I need to see the project in person or if photos via email (FurnitureRescue@gmail.com) or text (503.910.1753) will suffice. I can also produce written estimates for insurance claims.
What do you typically charge for your repairs?
Of course, every situation is different. My goal is to help you save money by “rescuing” the furniture you have. You will ultimately decide if the piece is worthy of restorative efforts.
How far will you travel from Salem and what is your trip charge?
Depending on location and schedule, I will adjust my fee to cover my cost of travel and will notify you prior to service.
What is your guarantee?
The type of repair and the environment the furniture is exposed to will dictate how I am able to stand behind my work.
I've had repairmen come into my home with bad attitudes and stinkin' of cigarettes. What say you?
Don’t smoke, don’t drink, don’t cuss and I'll get along with your pets too. I want you to be comfortable referring me to others.
What's the difference between Furniture Rescue and Seat Surgeon?
I have done commercial upholstery and repair service over 20 years. While operating Seat Surgeon (commercial/institutional/health care/sports equipment), I worked for Home Collections for 3 years as their repair technician. I am formally trained in all aspects of leather, modern finishes and new furniture issue resolution. After Home Collections closed (thanks to the “new economy”), I expanded my mobile service to include Furniture Rescue (residential/office).
